Day 4: Surrender to God’s Good Purposes and Plans

Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Morning Prayer: “God, I believe in your goodness and I surrender my life to you.”

Reflection: 

God is good, and he has more for us than we ask or imagine. In the closing words of this prayer, we are reminded that we need to focus on God’s plans and purposes, not ours. It’s about his timeline, not ours. God

’s ways are not our ways. We are limited. We need to believe and trust in his unlimited love and goodness. He is at work in our lives. What does it look like for you to cooperate with God’s power at work within you? 

 

Evening Prayer (7:00-800 PM): Pray for more of God

Personalize Paul’s prayer by acknowledging that God is able to do so much more than all you ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within you, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen? Is there something more that God is calling you to, asking of you? Open your heart to more. Take some time to pray and write down what comes to mind. Listen to the Holy Spirit and let him guide you into more.
