Dear Yarrow M.B.
As the Covid19 virus has come to our part of the world, we as elders have wrestled with the question of how to respond. In consideration of the recommendations from both the Canadian M.B. Conference and the BCMB Conference, and thinking about how to show love and respect for those who are vulnerable around us, we have made the decision to cancel Sunday’s service (March 15). For those who would still like to gather together there will be a prayer meeting (in the sanctuary at 10:45) with a liturgical focus in place of our regular service.
Our response is not out of fear or anxiety, but out love and consideration for those who are vulnerable around us. Nor do we make this decision lightly, meeting together weekly as the church, is something we strongly value. We also encourage you to continue looking for those around us who may need help in this time and to find ways to show love through acts of charity.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Sincerely,
Yarrow M.B. Elders.
